The demands of our daily working life here at Merrill require us to have several working dogs on the go.  We are kept very busy here with our wonderful team of working Kelpies.

At present we have Kelpies ranging from 14 months to 12 years of age. The older members are Crash, Bob (Everready Bob II) and Polly. Then we have Dick (Koonama Dick),  Leo, Rusty,  Pheonix (Lokabe Pheonix), Arrow (Kraken Arrow) and Maverick, the young ones are Merrill Creek Ned, Merrill Creek Fly, Merrill Creek Spud , Merrill Creek Bo and Kip. Some excellent bloodlines and extremely good workers.

A few years ago we decided to start breeding and purchased some very well bred dogs. Our past litters have gone on to make very successful working dogs and even some were lucky enough to go to athletic homes as pets. We get regular updates on our dogs and ensure they go to the best of homes.

We currently have pups available for purchase.  Three black and tan Boys. Bo and Spud DOB:  31/12/22 and Kip DOB: 01/03/2023. 

All boys are from excellent parents that have wonderful temperaments.

 

Bo and Spud-   Both boys are going very well with their training.  Both have a very strong bark and showiong alot of interest in the yards. see videos

Sire: Koonama Dick (Koonama Rose x Marabou Jimmy) an extensive working pedigree. Dick is our main dog on a large scale sheep and cattle property, he is able to work paddock and yards. Has a very strong bark and free backing (see video). He has a friendly temperament and gets along well with people and other dogs.

Dam: Merrill Creek Elvis (Station Bred Polly x Everready Bob II) Elvis has a long line of working dogs in her blood line.  Elvis was bred by us and is an outstanding dog. Her personality joined with Dick's ability have bred some very successful working dogs.  Elvis has a very obedient and friendly nature, she is an excellent mother who had spent some time on sheep when she was younger. Both Bo and Spud will be registered with the Working Kelpie Council.

Kip-  Kips parents are Bonnie and Crash, both fundamental members of our working team. Bonnie is an extremely loyal dog and hard working bitch, Crash has a very wide cast and is a unsurpassed paddock dog.  Kip is going extremely well with his training, so far he has great recall and will happily follow you around. As he is still quite young he has had only one session in the pen (27/05/2023) he was showing a lot of interest, had a lot of bark and trying to back. Showing great potential, and will go on to be a very good dog. 

 

 Pups are vet checked,  vaccinated and microchipped, wormed every 2 weeks.  We handle these pups everyday and they are exposed to farm life and children. Very friendly pups.

We are registered with The Working Kelpie Council.

Pups are $1000 inc gst.
